Rail travel

Dammtor mainline station is just a few steps away. It links Hamburg Messe directly with the mainline rail network of Deutsche Bahn, including ICE high-speed trains, thus connecting it with the international rail system. It is only 8 minutes’ walk from Dammtor station to the East Entrance, and only 20 minutes from the Central Entrance.

Alternatively, you can get to the Central or West Entrance from Dammtor by taking S-Bahn S11, S21 or S31 to Sternschanze (one station).

If you arrive at Hamburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof), it is only one station from there to Dammtor station (for the East Entrance), by S-Bahn S21 (towards Elbgaustrasse). That is just two minutes on the train. From there you can have the same alternatives to get to the Fair.
