Endless variety: INTERNORGA 2023 features numerous trends and new products for bakeries and confectioners

The ‘snackification’ trend is changing the range of products stocked by bakeries at lightning speed, transforming them from bread specialists into gastro-bakeries. Many businesses have seized the opportunity to increase their sales and are offering a more varied range of snacks and lunchtime inspiration. The trade fair, taking place from 10 to 14 March 2023, will provide a comprehensive overview of various snacks, speciality coffees, coffee machines, the latest food and beverage trends, sustainable packaging solutions and creative ideas for furnishings and fittings on an area of around 95,000 square metres. This year, the many product highlights and ever-popular formats such as the Back Stage will be supplemented by new opportunities for industry networking.

‘The range of products on offer for modern bakeries and confectioners has changed tremendously. At INTERNORGA, the latest snack ideas, coffee trends, efficient technologies for kitchens, baking and cooling, sustainable packaging solutions and much more cannot be displayed in one single hall. Instead they will be on show in ten halls laid out with a clear structure throughout the trade fair. In this way, we make interaction between all sectors possible and provide new ideas and valuable fresh impetus for sustainable business during challenging times,’ explains Matthias Balz, Project Manager at INTERNORGA.

This is why sustainable packaging solutions, such as reusable takeaway coffee cups, now have their own, enlarged exhibition area. Promising innovations in the packaging sector and other F&B trends will also be presented by several start-ups in the ‘Newcomers’ Area’.

An appealing supporting programme for a holistic trade fair experience

The popular Back Stage, presented by the confectioners’ guild, will once again be another highlight for the bakery sector. Visitors can look forward to interesting lectures, presented by master confectioner and TV judge Bettina Schliephake-Burchardt
