Agreement signed by Hamburg Messe and Messe Husum
The Hamburg trade fair company Hamburg Messe and the Husum trade fair company
Messe Husum signed a cooperation agreement today for joint organisation of the
premier international wind event. This will in future be the only international
trade fair for the wind industry in Germany, and will be held for the first time
under the new name of HUSUM WindEnergy, in Husum from 9 to 13 September 2008.
This new trade fair, like its precursors HUSUMwind and WindEnergy, will take
place at two-yearly intervals. An announcement to this effect was issued by HMC
and Messe Husum in a joint declaration today in Husum and Hamburg.
“The main purpose of this cooperation is for us as partners to establish
ourselves jointly – with even better positioning than before, particularly at
the international level. It is likewise our goal to strengthen the position of
Germany as the location of an international wind energy fair,” said Bernd
Aufderheide, Chairman of the Management Board of Hamburg Messe und Congress, and
Hanno Fecke, Chairman of the Management Board of Messe Husum, in mutual
agreement. This cooperation means that the two trade fair companies are serving
the interests of the booming international wind energy sector, which gets
together at the 10th HUSUMwind starting in Husum from 18 to 22 September 2007.
