Four award categories to honour innovative companies

The INTERNORGA Future Award is one of the year’s big opportunities for forward looking management and production. This prestigious award honours companies with innovative, sustainable activities; it will be presented for the eighth time in 2018, in four different categories. The submission phase has now begun. The deadline for entries and recommendations is 15 January 2018. For more details see www.internorga.com/en/for-visitors/sectorshighlights/internorga-future-award/.

Setting standards for the industry, by taking new paths and opening up new perspectives – the INTERNORGA Future Award honours innovative products, technologies and strategies with a focus on sustainability. The Award is one of the most important national and international awards in the food service and hospitality market.

Winning the Future Award can have a major positive impact on the company, as explained by Martina Ganthaler, Managing Director Hotel Muchele, which took home the 2017 award in the ‘Trendsetter Company – HORECA sector’: “We are tremendously proud of winning the INTERNORGA Future Award. It endorses our courage and belief in a growing success story – we are simply delighted. At the same time it motivates us to be even more creative and enterprising in future, while maintaining our own values and tradition. And we are particularly pleased with the Future Award because it has such a good reputation among the industry players in South Tyrol. We would advise any company that has visions for its industry to enter the Future Award 2018 – it’s worth it!”

INTERNORGA Future Award in four categories

Several companies have a chance to win the INTERNORGA Future Award, which is presented in four different categories. Companies can apply themselves or be nominated for two of these categories:

‘Trendsetter Company – Artisan’ is the category for businesses such as bakeries, confectioneries or butchers that combine traditional manufacturing methods with innovative ideas and technologies in a cost-effective and sustainable manner.

‘Trendsetter Company – HORECA’ is for companies from the hospitality, restaurant, catering or institutional catering sectors. Contestants have to show how they combine good business sense with sustainability, thus setting the trends for tomorrow.

The other two categories are open exclusively to INTERNORGA exhibitors:

‘Trendsetter Product – Food & Drink’. As the name suggests, this category recognises an innovative product characterised by healthy, biologically valuable ingredients, high quality of processing and flavour, or fair production conditions and recycling.

‘Trendsetter Product – Fittings & Equipment’ is for intelligent solutions characterised by efficiency and low consumption, both in operation and in their input of energy and materials, long product life, and are capable of update and repair. This category includes technical improvements to optimise work processes and thus set new standards.

Outstanding judges

Entries in the four categories of the INTERNORGA Future Award are judged by a panel of expert judges, comprising five leading representatives from business, academic life and civic society. Dr. J. Daniel Dahm is Chairman and a well-known international expert in the field of sustainability; he is Vice Director of the European Centre for Sustainability Research ECS of the Zeppelin University.
